Hello, and welcome to Indie Author Answers, a podcast about self-publishing, writing, editing, marketing, social media, and all that sort of stuff for Indie authors. I’m your host, Jim Heskett, and each week we’ll explore the landscape of the publishing industry and I can promise you I’ll go off topic.
One of the main focuses of this podcast is that I will, live on the air, edit my trunk novel The Problematic Virtue, one chapter at a time. We’re going to talk about what worked, what didn’t work, what I could have done better, and what lessons I learned from writing it.
There will be guests, interviews, shenanigans, hoopla, chicanery, and more.
On today’s show, I’m going to introduce myself and explain why I got into self-publishing.
Next week, we’ll start digging in to editing and critiquing my novel, so make sure you subscribe to get notified of new episodes!
On this blog, I’ll post the text I’ll be editing each week in the blog post at www.IndieAuthorAnswers.com so you can read along with it as you listen to me ramble about story structure.
